Musicians need to adapt to new marketing technologies. You can upload a track on SoundCloud or Spotify and get thousands of fans instantly. It depends on the strategy you use because there is no easy way when it comes to the music industry.

Where to find listeners?

How to find where listeners would be?  If you use SoundCloud and Spotify, then it is recommended to get an audience on Twitter. The artist who owns a Facebook page usually makes a new post every day with his latest music track or EP etc. He would like to reach as many fans as possible with the least amount of money spent for promotion. There are so many artists who want to buy likes on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. However, they do not realize that the real game of success comes on the music platforms itself. For instance, it’s better to buy soundcloud plays and stay very active on the platform. SoundCloud became the success tool for many new-era musicians, someone like Post Malone.

Put music tracks in front of the right people

If you’re an independent musician, you don’t want to be a slave to the corporate giants that control the music industry. You have your own unique way of doing things and making money, and there’s nothing wrong with that – especially if it puts more of that green stuff in your pocket! You know better than anyone else how much effort goes into every single gig or studio session. But now what do you do with all those hours spent on songwriting, rehearsing, recording new songs? How can you get them out to people who’d appreciate them? If you were already getting corporate-scale results using their strategy, great! Go for it! But why settle when there are so many alternatives available nowadays?

Cross promotion for the musicians

Cross promotion on different social networks. Why should you cross promote everything on different networks?  It’s very simple, one social media network will not give you enough exposure to help you grow your audience. So if you’re just promoting your content on only one network then most of the people from that group might already be super engaged with you and are following everything about you. So they won’t be interested in hearing all these songs again on some other website or page etc. So it is important to cross promote them. For example Facebook and Twitter are two biggest networks for musicians out there so many artists have accounts there and cross promote their content like fans can hear something new by visiting this artist’s page on Facebook.
